Many of you have recently received an invitation to fill out a Belgian tax declaration. For most of you, this will be the first declaration to be filled after many years. The letter also mentions that the declaration has to be filed electronically, which, again, for many will be a first time.
In order to help you fill out the tax form correctly, Union Syndicale will be organising a webinar explaining step by step what to do. The webinar will take place on Monday 30 June 2025, well in time, given that the deadline for filing the tax form is mid-July 2025.
The Webinar (in EN) will be hosted by Niels Bracke, president of Union Syndicale Brussels. He is a lawyer specialising in EU civil servants’ law, joint sickness insurance scheme, as well as the EU protocol on privileges and immunities. He has in-depth knowledge of the taxation status of EU staff, notably the fiscal residence clause.
