DISCLAIMER CON'T:

First, I'm no pro! These are my observations as a relative newbie to the world of makeup brushes.

Second, as mentioned in my video, brushes are super personal. How well one works will depend on your face shape, desired outcome, and type of products you use. For example, I really love the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder (http://bit.ly/2i6amRp) which is a highly blendable, cool-toned contour color (perfect!). But even with that product, it wasn't really until I started using a brush that worked better for me that I could get that or any contour powder to work as a cheek contour b/c my face is weird and big! :) Your face may prefer a flat sculpting brush instead!

As an aside, I also mention that if you're just starting out, I recommend picking up an inexpensive intro brush set or two to familiarize yourself with brushes, shapes, textures before plunking down the big bucks for an expensive brush.

Also, skip buying expensive sets unless there is a huge price discount! You're better off figuring out what you like first and then buy the individual brush styles that work best for you. That is, if you choose to buy expensive at all. In my experience, the performance for the use cases I am concerned with on the face is pretty much the same. Comfort and enjoyment is where these brushes differ. Eye brushes have a bit more nuance.
