Описание: The next Mega-Evolved Pokémon is Mega Staraptor, and it got the Fighting-type that it should have had from the start due to learning Close Combat upon evolution, which was the one advantage to Staraptor, as that gave it a way to fight Rock and Steel-type Pokémon, while no other Normal/Flying-type, or at least a few, were able to get some kind of coverage option.
Its Mega Stone, Staraptite, is obtained during Mega Dimension, and you do also catch a Staraptor as well, as this is one of these Mega-Evolved Pokémon where the Pokémon is caught during the Mega Dimension storyline, otherwise, its evolution line can be found in Hyperspace distortions starting from the 1 Star distortions. For moves as Alpha Pokémon, Starly comes with U-turn, Staravia has Heat Wave, and Staraptor has Focus Blast, don't know why give a special move to a Pokémon that has a high Attack stat when it shouldn't even be using special moves in the first place. As for its design, I do like how Mega Staraptor looks, this was a Pokémon that I did use back in Generation 4 when going through the game, and while regional birds are usually decent early-game, and some of them fall off in power late in the game, this is not the case with Staraptor, it picks up Wing Attack very early, and it remains useful throughout the adventure, it is the best Flying-type Pokémon available in Diamond & Pearl.
For stats, Mega Staraptor has base 140 Attack, a 20 boost to its Attack, its Speed is boosted by 10 to give 110, and both defensive stats go up by 30 to give it 100 for Defense, and 90 for Special Defense, and it gains 10 points in Special Attack to give it 60 Special Attack, not that Staraptor is ever going to use special moves. Mega Staraptor has the same Attack and Speed stats as Mega Skarmory, while it only has 10 points lower in both defensive stats, and it has higher HP than Mega Skarmory.
With its new Fighting-type, Mega Staraptor does get STAB from Close Combat, and it has Brave Bird for a hard hitting Flying-type move. For alternatives, it has Dual Wingeat, Sky Attack, and Fly for options, and for Fighting-type moves, it can learn Brick Break and Low Sweep. Staraptor did gain some coverage options like Knock Off, Blaze Kick, and Outrage, and it can boost its stats with Bulk Up. For Normal-type moves its base form can use, it has Double-Edge, Skull Bash, and Giga Impact for options. Mega Staraptor can take hits better with its improved defensive stats, and its high Attack allows it to take out foes with Close Combat and Brave Bird.
With Pokémon Champions coming soon and it confirmed that the new Mega-Evolved Pokémon are coming to the game, some of which did appear in the trailer for it. For how Mega Staraptor will perform, I expect this thing to be a physical sweeper that can take out its foes with Brave Bird and Close Combat, I don't know if the coverage options like Blaze Kick and Knock Off will be carried over to Pokémon Champions, as Close Combat was originally a coverage move for Staraptor, but for Mega Staraptor, it is a STAB move for it. This Pokémon does have a slightly higher Attack stat than Mega Hawlucha, but less Speed, it depends on what it ends up getting for its Ability, and my prediction for Mega Staraptor's Ability is Tough Claws, giving it a 30% boost to its contact moves, and as most of Staraptor's best moves are contact moves, it can make good use out of Tough Claws. For another Ability, Scrappy can be a good one for Mega Staraptor, as not only will it not be affected by Intimidate, but it can even hit Ghost-type Pokémon with Close Combat. Staraptor's base form does get Intimidate, so the boosted defensive stats from Mega Evolution does work well for it.
