Delhi Metro Phase V(B) Approved: 97 KM Expansion, 65+ Stations To Transform Connectivity

Описание: Delhi is set for a massive infrastructure upgrade as the government approves Phase V(B) of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation expansion. The ambitious project will add over 97 km of new Metro lines and more than 65 stations across seven corridors, at an estimated cost of ₹48,000 crore.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta says the move will bring better connectivity to underserved and fast-growing areas like Najafgarh, Narela, Mithapur, and Khera Kalan.

With four priority corridors set for fast-track completion by 2029, this expansion is expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve last-mile connectivity, and ease congestion across the capital.
