Dive Cape Town Batsata & Dave's Cave Kelp

Описание: Due to 2 years of ankle procedures I was absolutely thrilled to be back where I belong, in the water. we did two dives from a local operator, Dive Team's, boat. The first was a reef just south of Simon's Town and Millers Point. The depth we had for the this dive was around 21 meters. Dark and green water at the surface and with the descent, but then a beautiful world opened up at 21 meters. Orange -red fans with amazing octopus-like paisley basket stars greeted us, and blue-glowy Frilled Nudibranchs drawing the eyes from meters away. In Cape Town's Falsebay it is difficult to continue with a dive as you get drawn in by more species per square meter than a metropolitan city. After this dive we moved northwards for a kilometer into an area called Partridge Point, specifically around a rock with a cave swim-through called Dave's cave. Although we didn't focus on the cave this time, we now entered a dynamic-moving kelp forest. Diving like trekking through a jungle, at only 8 meter depth, with amazing creatures around every corner, a short tailed stingray, a hiding octopus, a tiny finger-nail sized Coral nudibranch having a roller coaster ride on some kelp, with the always curious fish posing in front of the lens.
