AB 481 Military Equipment Community Meeting 10-09-2024

Описание: Assembly Bill (AB) 481 was one of several police reform bills signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in September 2021. It went into effect on January 1, 2022. AB 481 is designed to increase community awareness surrounding a police agency’s possession and use of certain types of equipment and requires the City Council to provide both authorization and oversight of its use on an annual basis.

This is the annual community engagement meeting hosted by PAPD at which the general public can discuss the equipment and ask questions. This year's community meeting occurred on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rinconada Library.
