Notes

Golden Saints may spawn with a Glass, Ebony, or Daedric weapon; the choice between them is entirely random. I wanted to see how these weapon types fared against each other, so in addition to the regular test where I made no changes to the stats of either combatant (the first two fights shown in this video are from that test), I tested the performance of each weapon type separately by limiting the types of weapons the Golden Saints were able to spawn with. I also made a few other tests where I gave the Golden Saints a select choice of interesting weapons that are rarely – if ever – wielded by creature NPCs.

The shields the Golden Saints wear are also leveled list items and determined randomly. The number of possible shields is enormous and varies from the modest Iron Shield to the powerful Daedric Tower Shield. Some of these shields also have an "On Use" enchantment on them that lets their wearer cast spells. However, since shields don't impact combat performance nearly as much as weapons do, I decided not to take the choice of a shield into account in these tests.
