A cold, wet, and windy night in the Yorkshire Dales saw a change of plans — and a welcome bit of shelter.
After more than two years, I finally got back out with Buzz, Potter, and Lew for a one-night trip that didn’t quite go as expected. With the weather closing in, we took refuge in a Yorkshire bothy and let the evening slow down.
Inside the stone walls, a fire was lit, stories were shared, and Potter cooked up a proper chicken balti. Later on, I tried something a little different — a warm camp-style crumble to finish the night off.
No bookings. No Wi-Fi. Just bad weather, good food, and even better company.
