Fantastic Saturday Variety at Carlisle Steam Diesel Electric 7 Feb 2026

Описание: A fantastic Saturday at Carlisle. Starting off with the seemingly irregular train of Aviation Fuel - Jet-1A - to Prestwick airport, a walk down to Upperby to see whats at the Locomotive services site, then back to Citadel station to see the Class 90s and the day's Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express from Euston. This was steam hauled from Carnforth to Carlisle by Tangmere which later took the train via the Settle Carlisle line to Preston for electric haulage back to London.
A Surprise with the Class 90s - the Up Russell contract train ran only as light engines to Freightliner's Rugby depot.
