After I posted the first video (since deleted) I discovered I had an additional eight minutes of North Platte footage. Between that and some objectionable background music, consider this video a do over.
Anyway, Union Pacific's Overland Route between Cheyenne, Wyoming and North Platte, Nebraska. The wintertime scenes were taken in 1977. The other stuff was a year or two earlier. I'm guessing the Amtrak train passing by the depot in Cheyenne was a detouring San Francisco Zephyr because it normally ran via Denver and Speer Jct., thus bypassing downtown Cheyenne.
