One of the most controversial transformations, Trunks’ Super Saiyan rage got so much hate back in the days because people believe it is such a “convenient” power up and more of a plot device. But is it actually though? I mean “Kinda” . But it can be explained back when Trunks and Vegeta were sparring together, Trunks witnessed the power of the Blue and managed to catch a glimpse of the God power. Then with the overwhelming rage Trunks experienced at that moment, he broke through his limit and achieved a new form that was able to hold his Ground against Black and Zamasu.
