Union Pacific's Chino Local chasing to Chino and Pomona 2/20/2025

Описание: Here's a morning spent with Union Pacific's Chino Local. Based out of Montclair Yard, this train serves industries around the cities of Pomona, Chino, and Ontario. On the menu today is five customers, with a variety of operations seen as this train worked its way around the Pomona Valley. Today's train featured UP 1398, a locomotive usually based in Los Angeles, but it spent a couple weeks out here before returning to the ratholes.

Shoving west from Montclair Yard, the first industry the train served was Manke Trucking in Pomona off the Los Angeles Subdivision mainline. Here, one boxcar was spotted, before they took off east before diving down the Chino Branch. Next up was EcoMaterial Technologies, where they dropped two hoppers off and picked up two empties.

Proceeding down the Chino Industrial Lead, we see the train enter the City of Chino, and shove down a section of streetrunning to access the many industries in the industrial centers of Chino. They switched Weyrick Lumber, Berry Plastics, and Amalgamated Sugars, before heading back up the line and shoved back to Montclair. Thanks for watching!
