On December 14, 2025, Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Mitsubishi in Leesburg for traffic violations. The vehicle made evasive maneuvers and fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was located by Leesburg Police officers and a LCSO K-9 unit responded to conduct a track which led to a shed in a nearby residential area. Deputies located the suspect inside and took him into custody. During a search of the shed deputies located marijuana and a digital scale.
Travis Hanberry was transported to Lake County Jail where he was charged with fleeing from the traffic stop, driving with a suspended license and drug possession.
