September is the International Month for Deaf People. It is in commemoration of the first World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf which took place in September 1951. Although progress is being made in terms of fully incorporating the deaf into the world of work and economy, more still needs to be done. Business people like Matebogo Victoria who is the brains behind the VoiceOut Deaf Cooperative. Voiceout Deaf is a farming business established to benefit the deaf community. Their focus is on skilling the deaf community with small-scale farming to provide a source of income and food.
Matebogo Victoria is joining us now in studio, she is accompanied by an interpreter, Fortune Madlala.
