Tips on how to remove D40 Nissan Navara rear axle bearings and the axle seal, a guide only on some techniques and tools that may help your job to remove this axle bearing and seal set.
Preload is determined from the factory with OEM bearings, if there is excessive end float the cup can be shimmed out to increase preload, if there is excessive preload the glance can be shimmed with aftermarket options, however end float should be correct as long as all bearings are all the way home and the axle housing bore shoulder is not worn from a previous failure.
