Took some simple shots at 120fps on the Sony which allowed for me to slow it down drastically and create some moody cinematic video. Throw on a LUT in Final Cut and layer in some Kygo and it's a wrap.
Slate Peak in the Northern Cascades of Washington State is an incredible and very "under the radar" (read further for intended pun) place. The highest drivable road and 2nd highest fire lookout in WA, this place offers amazing view of the Cascades and offers a rich peek into the history.
The original fire lookout was demolish to make way for an Air Force radar station in the 1950 to spot incoming Soviet Bombers. The top of the mountain was flattened, but the station was never actually built. The Forest Service rebuilt the tower back to its original height.
The drive up can be a little harrowing, but any decent 4WD vehicle should be able to make it no problem. We had the whole peak to ourselves the entire night :)
