This video presents a 60-second elevator pitch for my doctoral dissertation in Educational Technology.
My research explores how teachers and students interact with educational robotics in middle school classrooms, moving beyond the idea of technology as a “black box.” While robotics and AI are increasingly adopted in schools, educators often lack clear guidance on how to remain actively involved in technology-supported learning.
Using a mixed-methods approach grounded in a human-in-the-loop framework, this study examines real classroom interactions to better understand how robotics can support meaningful teaching and learning rather than replace human decision-making.
The goal of this research is to inform the design of more effective, equitable, and human-centered robotics programs in K–12 education, with a focus on Ohio middle schools.
