This is a recitation of the essay by philosopher A.J. Ayers (1910-1989) describing his near death experience. It was originally published in an August 1988 edition of the Sunday Telegraph with the title "What I Saw When I Was Dead." The transcript may be found here:

A.J. Ayers was a leading 20th century philosopher among Logical Positivists. Logical Positivism was a reductionist school of thought that attempted to limit philosophy to the same type of verification methods found in the natural sciences. Although A.J. Ayers' remained an atheist after his NDE, his reasoning for remaining so aren't convincing for the reasons I explain at the end of the video.
