And Israeli media outlets are quoting unnamed intelligence sources saying Israel's Mossad spy service was behind it.
The incident came the day after advanced centrifuges for uranium enrichment were unveiled.
But also as the Iranians are about to re-engage in indirect talks with the U.S. to revive the 2015 nuclear deal.
Israel has long opposed the accord.
