Young Thug Trial Gets Delayed as Judge Considers Removal from Case

Описание: Judge Ural Glanville announced on Monday afternoon that the Young Thug RICO trial will be on pause until a different judge decides whether or not he should be removed from the case. This news comes after Judge Glanville said a full transcript of the controversial chamber meeting that happened last month will be released. Several defense attorneys, including attorney Doug Weinstein, filed motions for the judge to be recused. Attorney Weinstein spoke to Law&Crime's Jesse Weber about this update.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
