"Weed School" Comes To Atlantic City

California based Oaksterdam University believes marijuana is the next big industry and this weekend they brought their classes to the Bally's Casino in Atlantic City to teach people the techniques and laws behind growing marijuana.
Since 2007 Oaksterdam has taught over 20,000 students how to grow marijuana and their dean, Dr. Aseem Sappal, believes that legalization is inevitable so it makes sense to be prepared.
“We have 23 states that have legalized cannabis. Who is going to educate is a lack of regulation, when you go to a dispensary and you have someone helping to facilitate your needs and giving you medicine, we want to make sure that they're educated,” he said.
Hundreds of people paid $1,000 for the four-day seminar and it was like being back in school. There were intense mathematic equations taking place, text books assigned and even growing demonstrations using basil instead of marijuana, were all going on at this event.
