Can Sheet Music be Art?

I’ve never been a huge fan of Zimmer but I finally got round to watching Interstellar and it blew my mind.

I’m not sure how I came up with the idea for this video. I guess it started as I wanted to write out the sheet music and have a watch whizzing round at the same time to represent the time dilation in the movie.
I soon realised that the 2nd half of the piece was too fast to notate in time so I started to think of ways to simplify it.
At some point I came up with the idea of making it all on one page with no time or key signature.
From there the idea of the clock shape formed to mimic the space station in the movie and then the cube formed to represent the tesseract.

In the end I think I got my idea across and hope you enjoy the video.
