Metalline powdered dyes are used for coloring zinc plated parts. The dyes absorb into the chromate film that protects the zinc from corroding. The most common colors are ground screw green, red, blue and yellow. There are numerous shades and other unique colors available as well. Using a high protection thick film trivalent chromate will help ensure effective dye absorption and bright consistent colors.
