In this video, we compare several Telefunken microphones on the same singer, using an identical recording chain to ensure consistent conditions across all takes.
The purpose of the video is purely demonstrative: we want to highlight the tonal differences and character of each Telefunken microphone in a controlled, realistic scenario.
At the end of the video, you’ll also find a section featuring mixed versions of the recordings, processed with high-end outboard gear to give a sense of how these microphones sit in a real mix.
No processing has been applied to the main raw takes, except for minimal level matching to allow a fair and consistent comparison.
