Happy 30th Anniversary to the 8th installment in the Friday the 13th franchise, Jason Takes Manhattan!
While the film certainly is one of the weaker entries in the series, thanks in large to Paramount's own self sabotage by not wanting to shoot that much in New York City, one of the best aspects about this film is the song, "The Darkest Side of the Night" by Metropolis.
Both the song and the film are so 80s that you can't help but love them, as well as being a perfect time capsule of the decade. Even though so many YouTubers have done their own music videos for this song, I decided to take my stab at it (pun intended)!
This video is dedicated to Kane Hodder, as well as the Lakeview High School Class of 1989 (what's left of them)!
