Part 1 of building a new transmission for my rail buggy. The goal here is to build a transmission that works well but is also easily obtainable and budget friendly.
For VW rail buggy needs, in my experience it has been difficult to locate, purchase, and repair the old VW 002/091 transmissions. Some of them are 50+ years old at this point, we need a more modern affordable solution.
These transmissions could be awesome in a street oriented mid engine car! Go see part 2 and skip the final drive swap!
