Skagit, Snohomish rivers expected to see heavy flooding

Описание: The National Water Prediction Service projects that both the Skagit and Snohomish rivers will see significant flooding this week, in light of two atmospheric rivers landing on western Washington.

The federal weather model predicts that between 4 p.m. Monday and 10 p.m. Tuesday, the Skagit River could rise as much as 12 feet, to 32.50 feet total -- reaching the "major" flooding threshold.

“I have a neighbor who warned us that this is coming," said Rob Michie, who along with his wife Carol, live up the hill from downtown Mt. Vernon. “We’re worried, we’re concerned about it,” he added.
