Описание: Day 4 into our travels. We left Falls Campground in Dubois Wyoming and now heading to Grizzly Rv Park in West Yellowstone, Montana, 312 miles away. We will be driving through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park and some of Yellowstone to get there. The Bridger-Teton national forest offers more than 3.4 million acres of public land full of forests, mountains, streams, lakes and glaciers. It is a large part of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Within Bridger-Teton National Forest are over 40 named mountains rising above 12,000 ft, including the tallest at 13,804 feet, Gannett Peak, which is the tallest mountain in Wyoming. The views driving through Bridger–Teton National Forest were breathtaking. The drive included inclines and declines as steep as 6% grade. The inclines seemed to take us forever to get up and the declines had Matt holding tight onto the steering wheel. We’re excited to enjoy scenic views on this drive and hope to make some stops along the way. We do plan on driving through Yellowstone today with some stops in mind but tomorrow we plan to spend the day exploring and learning about all the incredible features in Yellowstone. To help guide us through all the sights and interesting facts about Yellowstone, we downloaded the GuideAlong app and purchased the Yellowstone and Grand Teton package. This should also be helpful in the homeschooling part of the trip as the kids learn all about Yellowstone and all the thermal features and the massive active volcano that it is.
