Описание: Explore Oklahoma City's National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Oklahoma City holds one of the nation's greatest collections of anything related to the Old West, Cowboys and Native American Collections. Take a walk around the walk of fame dedicated to western film and TV stars. Be sure to check out the LIIchokoshkomo' (pronounced Lee-cho-kosh-ko-mo) Village outside behind the museum along with the rodeo animal graves and tributes.

There is beautiful artwork throughout the museum. The special exhibits are only on display for a short period of time. Follow the museum on social medial and visit their website to keep up to date on special events. One of the yearly family friendly events is the Chuck Wagon Festival that occurs every Memorial Day weekend. Chuck Wagons from across the region prepare some of their favorite dishes and visitors are able to sample their cooking. I remember riding in a stagecoach when I attended, so much fun!

Fun fact- when I was a kid it was called the Cowboy Hall of Fame and to this day, I sometimes still call it that and I probably always will, ha!
