Part 2, Hi folks, Spike here the Frugal Fixer, welcome to my shop.
For My Next Project, Today I will cut out, route and sand the body for my latest build using the Shopsmith/ Total Shop machine, My Plans change as I build things and this one is no exception. I have decided to build a Gibson Melody Maker Acoustisonic design. The body is solid 2 1/4 inch Sycamore, the top is going to be book matched Ambrosia Maple and the neck and fretboard are still undecided at this time. I am hollowing it out and take out as much weight much as possible, then put on the top with a couple of Lightning bolt shaped F holes, wraparound adjustable bridge and some p90 pickups!!
I am completely Self Taught, and sometimes the results show just that. But sometimes, I get lucky and make something real cool. Hang around and see which one this turns out to be, LOL
But I am going on a quest!!
