Описание: Today I’m showcasing another personal favorite from my collection: Manhunt. This is the US PC edition, released by Rockstar Games in 2003. Its VHS style packaging sets it apart from other boxed games of the era, capturing a unique aesthetic that mirrors the game’s dark theme. With its striking artwork and presentation, this edition stands out as a true collector’s gem.

In this video, I’m showcasing two copies of Manhunt: one with the standard rectangular seal commonly used by most publishers, and another with the limited circular seal found on fewer printings. The footage features b-roll close-ups, pans, and zooms for historical preservation rather than entertainment. The brief gameplay at the end was filmed directly off-screen to maintain an authentic feel. The deep shadows and visible film grain are intentional, reflecting Manhunt’s tense, horror-driven design and staying true to the game’s default in-game settings.

Manhunt was one of the grittier games I enjoyed in my youth, during a time when I actively sought out controversial titles. Even today, it holds a special place alongside Postal, Kingpin, Carmageddon, and GTA. I wish more companies would take risks by creating darker games. Back then, games felt raw and without boundaries. Developers made them out of passion, not simply to follow a trend or chase the market. That is what made gaming so special.
