Ring Racer History & Review, Nurburgring S&S Air-Launch Coaster | My Rarest Credit

Описание: Ring Racer at Nurburgring was an ill-fated S&S air-launch coaster. This ride was originally supposed to open in 2009. It would have had a 135 mph launch that would have made it the world's fastest coaster at the time. But the launch system exploded multiple times. When the ride opened in 2013, the launch speed was reduced down to just 99.4 mph. The coaster ran for just 4 days at the end of the season. And it never reopened again since new owners deemed the ride financially unviable. I was lucky enough to be studying abroad in Germany at the time, so I made it to this ride's opening day.
