Welcome to the beautifully romantic Old Wardour Castle. If you are in the area of Cranborne Chase area, do pay a visit to this incredible castle. Old Wardour Castle is run by English Heritage. The castle was constructed in 14th century as a luxury residence for comfortable living and lavish entertainment. This castle has hosted many historic people, Kings and Queens and even was apart of the English Civil War where ethe castle took devastating damage.

If you love history, a beautiful historic setting and lots to explore, this castle is definitely for you! I do hope you enjoyed seeing this castle. I only showed half of it as there is so much to see. I highly recommend coming here.

There are excellent picnic areas, places for the kids to run around and sit to soak in the views. Plus, English Heritage does provide a nice cup of tea!
