Share Market Crash | Investors Lose ₹13 Lakh Crore as Sensex & Nifty Fall Sharply

The Indian stock market witnessed a sharp fall today as soon as trading began. The BSE Sensex dropped more than 2300 points, while the Nifty 50 declined around 700 points, creating panic among investors.

Due to the sudden fall, investors lost nearly ₹13 lakh crore in market value within seconds. The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies dropped to ₹435.70 lakh crore, compared to ₹449.68 lakh crore in the previous session.

Experts say the decline is mainly due to global concerns such as tensions in the Middle East and rising crude oil prices, which have affected major stock markets worldwide.

Not only India, but other global markets also saw heavy losses. Japan’s Nikkei fell nearly 4000 points, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index dropped around 700 points.
