Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati founder of Devipuram (www.devipuram.com) Performs Prana Pratishta of Sri Yantra Meru before i leave Vizag to return home in 2012. I had spent almost a week in Devipuram and Guruji had helped me greatly by prescribing certain meditations and mantras to chant. This was typical Guruji, so kind and loving, not even caring whether the seeker , (in this case myself) was qualified or not just sharing all he had to help others. I was insistent that Guruji should bless the Meru and wasn't expecting him to perform this energisation/Prana Pratishta, Guruji also surprised me by asking to join in the ritual and asked me to chant along with him, bearing my mistakes while chanting.
As he chanted he would close his eyes and occasionally opening them and looking straight at me. In particular what struck me was the lines of the ending Mantras -
""Lam prithivyatmane satsangam gandham, Ham akasatmane indriya ngraham pushpam, yam vayu atmane arishadvarga visarjanam dhupam, Ram vahni atmane chitkala svasvarupa deepam, Vam amritatmane vasudha adi siva avasanam siva shakti samarasya svarupa ananda amrita naivedyam, Mano laya svarupa ananda karpoora nirajanam, Upanishad vakya surabhilam tambulam ] kalpayami namah....a sort of mental visualisation of offerings symbolising the dissolusion of the self into the divine which led to a series of inner experiences which occured later.
A humbling experience and pure grace. This was to be my Second Last physical meeting with Guruji.
By grace of Divine Mother, I had the good fortune of meeting Guruji for the first time in Sydney in early September 2007 where he initiated a group of us into a series of mantras and showed alot of love and grace, a few weeks later we were introduced to Guruji's illustrious disciple Sri Haran Aiya (please visit www.srividya.org) who further blessed and graced us for the Spiritual Journey .
Guruji Is to be considered a modern sage who had the direct inspiration with the Goddess. His goal was to awaken the Divinity in all and to let them enjoy the bliss that was their birth right:
" Realise that life is given to us to enjoy. Do we have to create our own suffering? Know what causes misery and avoid that. Learn to enjoy and promote happiness in all. This is the real aim of life. Be aware beyond your individual life. Love and service are the two wings on which you fly to Go and, to proclaim your right to divinity. Make this ritual a regular part of your life. Get connected to the Goddess. Imagine the goddess to live in you. Devipuram is wherever you are, in you. Celebrate your life. Enjoy and dance your way through life"
Guruji Amritananda.
