You’ve probably heard this place in the news recently with natural disasters, fighting, even talk of war. But what’s life without a bit of risk?
In this video, I document my semi-chaotic journey of trying to get an Afghan visa in Pakistan, from embassy queues and paperwork stress to last-minute problems that nearly stopped the trip altogether.
With no real plan and a lot of uncertainty, I then attempt to cross the Torkham border on foot, one of the most talked-about crossings between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Along the way, I meet locals, rely on the kindness of strangers, and experience a side of the region you don’t usually see.
