Here’s 40 minutes of gameplay from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo, running on Nintendo Switch 2 and captured in the best quality possible to give an accurate look at how the game performs on the hybrid console.
Visually, this is seriously impressive. The game appears to be using DLSS, targeting a resolution somewhere between 1080p and 1440p — we’ll let Digital Foundry confirm the technical breakdown. Performance is a solid 30fps, with very few noticeable dips throughout this demo section.
Seeing a game of this calibre running on a portable device is genuinely jaw-dropping. The last time a Switch 2 title impressed me this much was Star Wars Outlaws, so colour me impressed once again.
