Cannabis is legal in Canada. How will that impact you if you are selling your house or buying a house? How will pot being legal impact you as a landlord or a tenant? And how will legal marijuana impact you if you live in a condo?
In this video we cover:
1) How many plants are allowed per residence?
2) What will standards or rules be for growing pot in your home?
3) I'm I'm selling do I or my realtor have to disclose I've been growing cannabis plants inside my house?
4) My tenant is growing pot plants inside! What can I do?
5) Condos! What now with cannabis?
Cannabis became legal to sell in Canada through authorized sellers. In Ontario, it became legal at 12:01 am on Oct 17, 2018. By early morning, 38,000 grams of cannabis had been legally bought online.
As a homeowner or someone who is looking to sell or buy in the near future, legalizing pot will have big impacts on housing and condo rules, pricing, and more. We don't have all the answers, but we are sharing what we've learned now, with the help of an article by one of our trusted real estate lawyers, Mark Weisleder from realestatelawyers.ca
What do you think? Will this affect home prices? Would you buy a house that had cannabis growing in it? Do you think there will be damage or mould inside as a result? Do you think you should have to disclose you've been smoking pot inside? Post below, we'd love to hear!
