Baking Bread from the Man who Spoke to God

Описание: In this episode, we dive deep into one of the most enigmatic figures of the Bible and the ancient world: the Prophet Ezekiel. A man exiled from his homeland, living among the captives in Babylon, who claimed to see visions from the heavens. Not just visions of the future, but wild, celestial revelations involving wheels within wheels, winged creatures, and the very voice of God. It was during these moments of divine communication that Ezekiel was given one of the most unique commands in biblical history to bake a survival loaf.

As strange as it may sound, this wasn’t just any bread. God told Ezekiel to combine wheat, barley, lentils, millet, and rye into one humble loaf. The bread was meant to sustain him during his long prophetic vigil, while he lay on his side for hundreds of days as a symbol of Israel’s sin.

In this video, I explore Ezekiel’s incredible story, his visions, his mission, and his punishment, and then recreate the bread myself. With a few modern tweaks (yes, I added yeast), I bake and taste this divine recipe, rating it for flavor, texture, and historical insight.
