Mix-Ad sets have been developed by CODAN as a closed system used to dissolve dried substances such as antibiotics or cytotoxic drugs in order to administer them to the patient in one complete system. They are especially designed for use with critical drugs that require secure handling with no risk of contamination during preparation and administration. The following products belong to the group of Mix-Ad sets:

• Mono set (one side line with spike)
• Duo set (two side lines with 2 spikes)

Flexible infusion containers that require no venting are essential for the correct functioning of the Mix-Ad sets. The main set will be primed with solution as usual before the vial with dried substance is connected to the side line. Further handling and preparation shall be followed as per instructions for use.
