In this video, I will discuss teaching an effective phonics lesson. This structure is based on structured literacy following the body of research on the science of reading, which is effective in teaching 95% of people to learn to read and write proficiently.
I used this structure for 2 years in my classroom and found what worked and didn't! This is what I found helped me to go from 5% growth in whole-word reading to 50% growth in whole-word reading.
