Описание: In this video, I take you on a walking tour of the San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden, a beautiful and historic attraction in Brackenridge Park. The Japanese Tea Garden was once a limestone quarry that was transformed into a lily pond by Park Commissioner Ray Lambert in 1915. Later, it became a tea garden with the help of Japanese-American artist Kimi Eizo Jingu and his family, who lived and worked there until 1942. The garden features shaded walkways, stone bridges, a 60-foot waterfall, and ponds filled with colorful koi fish. It is also home to the Jingu House Cafe, which serves light meals and refreshments. The Japanese Tea Garden is open daily from dawn to dusk and is free to visit. It is a registered Texas Historic Landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places. Come along with me as I explore this tranquil oasis in the heart of the city.
