CB300R Rider Review - Annoyances and Gripes

Описание: The Honda CB300R is one of the best small cc road bikes on the market, despite also having one of the smallest engines, but there are a few things I think Honda could have improved on. None are major issues, none are deal breakers by any means, and one is entirely government mandated and out of their control.

Biggest one I left out is that Honda intentionally left the tail too short once you remove their fender. A tail tidy leaves your back getting sprayed. An inch or two more tail would have fixed it. My slightly too big tail bag fixes it. Come on Honda, you didn't have to do us like that.

Not that anyone who is gonna flame me for it reads this, but... I realize that the stoppy problem is at least as much me as the bike. I was too far back and didn't fully commit, I was treating it like a bike with big dual rotors and expecting to be able to pick up the back short of the final "stop". I tried a few more times with more gear on and a better camera position and think I will be able to at least get the tire to leave the ground. That said, it doesn't change that the brakes are probably the weakest point in the bike's performance. They remind me of my Ford Fusion's brakes. Perfectly good for normal use, but don't push it too far. I think new front pads are going to be in order just to see if it makes much of a difference. I don't really care about the stoppy as a stunt, not my thing, but getting right to that edge is how you maximize your emergency braking.
