“The Monkey and the Turtle’s Friendship Journey” is a Khmer folktale told in a charming Pixar 3D animation style. It follows a monkey and a turtle who become lifelong companions out of mutual respect and love.

Later, when the monkey’s family holds a wedding, they invite the turtle as a guest. The turtle, slow but loyal, arrives late and must bite a vine so the monkeys can pull him up. However, when a kind female monkey greets him, he forgets his promise to stay silent, opens his mouth to reply — and falls to his death.

This story mixes humor and tragedy while teaching the value of friendship, trust, patience, and thinking before speaking.
