001 - Oddly Satisfying: Clearing brush. Prepping for Soil Test. Skid Steers and Bush hogs!

We are in the process of closing on 23 acres. First we need to do a soil test to make sure the land will perc.
When we first looked at the land, the front section was thick with 2-3" thick trees and a bunch of undergrowth. The majority of the land is mature trees. The east section has clearly been mowed more consistently. But still lots of trees were able to grow in there.
The soil scientist thought that the front area would be best for doing the soil test as a lot of the other part of the property is rock.
We started off with a Kioti tracked skid steer with a bush hog attachment. Spent about 4 hours clearing out as much as it could. We came out the next day with a different contractor with his Bobcat skid steer and bush hog implement. He made short order mulching up and clear cutting the trees in the front section.
We plan on keeping all of the mature trees. when we build we'll remove as little as possible. No deforestation here, just clearing all the brush that's preventing us from using the land.
