Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem - First-Person Animation Showcase, Svyatoslav Rutskoy

Описание: The very first game that I ever worked on! I did some level design and first-person animations for the new weapons that were introduced in the new chapter of Sam's seemingly perpetual adventure.

The animations were made in Serious Editor, the software used to make Serious Sam. I haven't got to use Blender for animating since I had years of experience doing animations for weapon mods for Serious Sam games, so this is pretty much what I am used to.

One of the challenges that I had to face was to make the intro/pickup animations for each new gun, which wasn't a thing for my weapon mods (those were only introduced in Serious Sam 4). I had to improvise on the actions that Sam performs with the new weapons to show them off to the player, like switching the fire selector switch on the AK and opening the scope caps on the crossbow. Another challenge was to make a separate set of animations for dual wielding.

All the sounds for the weapons were made by Damjan Mravunac, the composer for Serious Sam series! It was surreal for me to listen to my own animations come to life with those sounds.
