In Ground Control Level 1 you will learn a sequence of maneuvers that will serve as your horsemanship infrastructure. As you advance through these exercises your horse will develop softness in the halter and become more responsive to your instruction. You will learn how to control your horse's feet allowing you to control their body. Your ability to communicate with your horse will greatly increase as you become confident with accurate whip cues. Through applying and releasing pressure you will teach your horse to respond to your cues correctly and without resistance. The accuracy that you are able to control your horses' position, motion, and momentum will continue to increase as you repeat these exercises. The goal of Ground Control Level 1 is to establish respect and control of your horse on the ground. In doing so you will also lay the foundation for more advanced maneuvers on the ground, in the harness, and under saddle
