First time I'd seen Skinny Puppy. And I say without hesitation and without exaggeration, that this show still ranks as my #1 favorite, most amazing, most mind-blowing show I've ever attended. And I've seen hundreds of shows, hundreds of bands. Last Rights still ranks as my #1, best album of all time, all bands, all styles.

1992, this was way back in the old days when bootlegging was still primitive. I had a good ol' cassette walkman, but even back in these days, I was a musician and budding audio engineer, so I cared about how music sounded. Not that I could do much about this recording, but at least I did have a little extension microphone that was stereo, and was a little bit more robust than the alternative. It still sounds pretty crappy, but without it, I would have had to have used the built-in mono mic that was about the size of a pinhead, and as bad as this recording sounds, it would have sounded considerably worse using that mic. So bad that I wouldn't be able to post it here.

So why post this now, after all these years? Well, back in the mid 90s sometime, I transferred the original cassette recording to DAT. For what specific purpose, I don't remember. Just for safe keeping I guess. And even though I've worked in audio and music and radio studios my entire life, after the mid-90s, DAT machines became super scarce, and I just never had access to one. But recently I finally tracked one down for relatively cheap, and immediately dug the DAT out of my closet and got to work.

Tape flip in the middle of Anger somewhere, but I edited it, and it sounds so rough anyway that you won't notice it.
