Join us for a serene evening as we walk towards the legendary Sri Bhootanaatha Gudi (Bhoothanatha Temple) in Badami. This temple complex, dating back to the 7th century, sits right on the edge of the stunning Agastya Lake, and the atmosphere here is pure magic!
In this video, we take a leisurely walk around the ancient stone structures, which seem to emerge directly from the water. From the temple steps, we get a breathtaking, panoramic view of the famous Badami Cave Temples carved into the red sandstone cliffs on the opposite side of the lake.
The kids had a wonderful time exploring the intricate carvings and running through the temple courtyards. One of the highlights was watching the local people enjoying a leisurely evening, fearlessly jumping and diving into the lake from the stone ghats—a true glimpse into the local life of Badami!
The combination of ancient architecture, the calm green water, and the golden evening light makes this one of the most peaceful experiences of our trip.
