TOPWATER Fishing for Swamp GIANTS [NEW PB]

Описание: On a Friday afternoon I decide to head out with the waders and my baitcaster to explore a mysterious, bowl shaped swampy backwater. This is a style of fishing that many anglers lack the stomach for, but I find that it can pay off big time, especially if you don't have a boat and are looking for better fishing access.

In shallow swamps, a diverse array of aquatic vegetation abounds both above and beneath the surface of the tannin-stained, acidic water. In this situation, a topwater lure can be a good option to allow you to fish lily-pad edges and over mats of weeds. I start off with a handbuilt buzzbait (which you can purchase in my LURE STORE) and it doesn't take too long before we get attacked by a powerful Bowfin. This first catch was a new personal best for the species, and it felt really special to catch one on topwater, which was a goal I had aspired to for years. Some anglers don't think much of Bowfin, but if you are interested in hard-fighting fish that are a step up from Bass, try hitting your local swamps with noisy topwaters and flashy lures such as spinnerbaits.
